And Now For Something Completely Different!

Taking a little vacation from weapons bags to do some personal sewing.

Finished a summer blouse last week and am in the middle of this full circle skirt in a delightfully shimmery, drapy retro print.

I have fabric for a few more garments to be made up but will set them aside as custom bag orders come in.

Trio of small bags made for our friends at Mugendo Budogu: sized for carrying small tools you might need when bringing your sword to/from the dojo.
Crafted them from a very dense, high quality cotton twill (black) and embellished with Asian-themed prints. Fold and tie to close. They retail for $30 on their website.

Small Details

A dojo bag being prepped. The original design for the dojo bag had a single layer bottom. I soon decided they merited a double layer for durability, and wanted to quilt the layers together. Sitting at the machine, I started with concentric circles turning inward to the center, and as a last minute flourish turned to make the wave. So now that's what I do.
